Shield

For history class (we're studying Ancient Rome), we had to make a shield.  So...here's mine!
A vine round the edge, and a chess rook in the center...

Close-up of the vine, which symbolizes strong and lasting friendship...

Close-up of the rook, which symbolizes strategic thinking...

And the full shield.  It was pretty fun!  I like the finished product.

HOMESCHOOL UPDATE: We were supposed to meet with Visions in Education (our Charter School) on Tuesday, but it got canceled.  So I'll blog about that when it happens :)

Happy Homeschooling!

SAT Testing, etc.

We're doing SAT testing starting Wednesday, to my great sadness.  RIGHT.  AFTER.  BREAK!  Teachers, please think about us.  We need more than two days to recover!!!  At least...I do.  In fact, it'll take all next year to recover from this year alone (you know, the homeschooling).  But needless to say, I was not prepared for school today, so I spent most of the day in a half-asleep stupor.

At least we watched some Midsummer Night's Dream in English, so I could zone out.

Anyways, we're wrapping up Greece in History, continuing MND in English, and doing more river stuff in Science.  We have an open notes quiz on Thursday, which I will not be taking.  Oh, yeah, I forgot--I'll be in LA from Thursday through Sunday!!!  DISNEYLAND, here I come!  I need some Happiest Place on Earth after doing the most Boring Tests on Earth.

I'm still tired, and cousins are over.  Maybe I should go before I fall asleep on the keyboard....good bye...

ZZZZZZZZ

Happy Homeschooling!  Stay awake!
