I've been doing an astronomy unit for science, which is pretty interesting. We went out one night and measured the latitude of some stars and planets (but not again after that because it was so cold!), we've talked about famous astronomers and the zodiac and stuff like that. Yesterday we discussed how the tides and moon are linked and what the spring tide (highest high tide) and neap tide (lowest low) were, and when they might be this year. Today I learned about how the more we look at the stars and universe, the more answers we get, but then we also have more and more questions! :) We looked at a whole bunch of cool pictures of nebulae, which you can only see clearly through a good telescope, and talked about how Mars has ice at its poles which grows and shrinks as the Martian seasons pass. It's really neat!
Sorry about my absence...I'm not a great blogger as far as posting goes but love looking at other blogs and stuff!! Haha, I'll try to be better about that though!
One last thing: I'm in 4H and am doing the Photography project, so I might do a series on what pictures I'm taking and stuff. The next meeting is in March I believe, we had one a few weeks ago and even though I was the only one there they said that more people will come next time, thank goodness! :D I need feedback for this idea, so please tell me wether or not you would like to see the pictures and hear about 4H awesomeness!!
Happy Homeschooling!
